Craig joined VCA in March 2008 and is currently employed as a Training Manager. His duties include Skills Development which entails the contacting of the clients to set up meetings, liaising with them regarding information needed and travelling to all the provinces to assist with the completion of their Workplace Skills Plans. Also, the contacting of the various SETAs is integral.

Craig also heads the Employment Equity project which includes project strategy and consultation with clients. Craig has attended various seminars and courses regarding EE and is constantly updating his knowledge of the various Department of Labour criteria.

One of the main projects that Craig is currently involved in is the addition of new Unit Standards for VCA’s SDF course. These USs will be added to the existing SDF Course to make it a more robust and rewarding course.
Craig is also responsible for any changes made to any of the courses that VCA offers. This involves liaising with the ETQA and aligning various Unit Standards to our courses.

He has successfully completed an accredited Skills Development Facilitation course and is also a registered Assessor with both the ETDP SETA as well as MERSETA. Craig is aiming to become a registered Moderator as well as completing his HR Diploma in the near future.
